Documenting Albrecht Dürer

Mother

Albrecht Dürer holds a place in architecture. Synonymous with the identity of the International Bau Austellung of the 80's in Berlin. He offered the notion of proportion implicit within the human form that was to occupy architecture. The architecture itself offered a communication to this measurement and the reference to the technique of his representation. It is not without note to reconfigure this significance when the argument at hand is to acknowledge a notion of perfection, whether within the realm of human creation or referenced in the attitude of architectural development. There is a new dawn approaching that can appease our differences, not with a new norm of standardisation but a historical repetition in the rudiment of understanding both gender and form in architecture; its necessity and its normalisation to cast asunder the political ineptitudes that abstraction has undoubtedly foiled in the perception of a natural environment. #architecture #development #communication #environment #gender #reference
